摘　　要：张耀翔是中国现代著名心理学家,他把西方先进科学知识与中国古代文化相结合,为科学心理学在中国的确立、发展与普及做出了卓越贡献。他自幼对心理游戏感兴趣,早年赴美学习心理学,归国后从事心理学教学与研究,创建了中国较早的心理实验室,并成为远近闻名的教学名师。他担任了中国最早的心理学学术组织中华心理学会的首任会长,并创办了我国乃至东方第一本心理学专业杂志《心理》。他的研究兴趣广泛,除在民意测验、中国古人变态心理和中国心理学史等领域做出开拓贡献外,还对心理学入门介绍、感觉与情绪心理以及儿童语言与思想等有精到研究。我们应充分认识张耀翔的学术贡献,恢复他在中国现代心理学史上的重要地位。Yaoxiang Zhang is a famous psychologist in the modern history of China. He combined western advanced scientific knowledge with Chinese ancient culture, made outstanding contributions to the establishment, development, and popularizing of Scientific psychol- ogy in China. He took an interest in mind games during his childhood and studied psychology in the United States when he grew up. After returning from USA, he devoted himself to the teaching and research on psychology, and established a psychological laboratory which was very early in China and at the same time, becoming a well-known teaching expert. It is very important that he was selected as the first president of Chinese Psychological Society which is the earliest Chinese psychological academic community. And he launched ＂PsyCh＂ which was the earliest journal of psychology in China, or even in the East. He had very extensive research interests, not only in making pioneering contributions in the research fields of public opinion poll, ancient Chinese abnormal mind, history of Chinese psy- chology, etc, but also in making a precise and penetrating inquiry about introduction of psychology, sensation and emotion, children＇s language and thought, etc. We should fully realize Yaoxiang Zhang＇s academic contribution and rehabilitate his important position in the history of modern Chinese psychology.
