摘　　要：在尤金·奥尼尔的剧作中,大海既是操纵人类命运的神秘力量,也是人类理想的栖息地,承载着奥尼尔对人性及人类生存困境的关怀和忧虑,同时,奥尼尔倡导重建人类与自然的和谐关系,指出回归自然是人类的出路,表现了其超前的生态意识。The sea is the mysterious power manipulating human destiny as well as the habitat of human ideal,bearing the concern and anxiety of O ＇Neill＇s to the human nature and the plight of human survival. O ＇Neill argues for reconstructing the harmonious relationship between human and nature and points out that the return to nature is the way out for human,expressing his advanced ecological awareness.
