摘　　要：采用对比研究的手法,探讨了20世纪美国最伟大的作家之一诺曼·梅勒的代表作《裸者与死者》和《一场美国梦》,从身份缺失和复归自我过程中的反抗主题研究了存在主义发展的不同阶段特征在诺曼·梅勒这两部作品中的异同表现。Norman Mailer was one of the greatest American Writers in the 20th century. He created The Naked and The Dead and An A- merican Dream which both were the masterpieces of existentialism. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences of existentialism in the novels and explain the characteristics of American Existentialism development at different stages.
