摘　　要：It has been more than 70 years since the end of the Second World War. Today, the situation in Europe, which was also enmeshed in the same war, is quite different to that of Asia. In Europe, France and Germany have reconciled their past and now jointly lead European countries on a path towards integration. They have set up an example of regional integration and Germany has also regained widespread international respect. In Asia, Japan has locked horns with both China and South Korea over historical and territorial disputes. These disputes have become frequent and can now be said to characterize a new normal in Northeast Asian intemational relations. Reconciliation between these countries is still distant, which makes it very difficult to advance regional integration.Japan's vagueness in admitting its history of invasion,has severely hurt the feelings of the people in those victimized countries.The international community's insufficient knowledge about Japan's invasion history and its connivance at Japan's irresponsible behavior,have only encouraged Japan to deny and whitewash its invasion history.The international community should step up efforts to promote historical justice and maintain the peaceful international order established after World War Ⅱ.
