摘　　要：中日两国沿海港口城市作为本国与外国交流贸易及文化的窗口,在近代东亚历史发展的进程中有着极为重要的地位,因此,中日两国港口城市的开港问题的研究遂显得尤为重要。整理上海与神户两个城市近代以来由开放走向现代化的历史进程,把两个城市的比较臵于大的时代背景之下,探索中日两国面对"西力东渐"所采取的不同应对方式,以及两国的近代城市发展进程,以取得以小见大的效果,应具有一定的学术价值。With the increase of the communication, port cities in China and Japan played essential roles in the development of modern East Asia. The research on port cities in China and Japan becomes particularly important. There is academic value to study the opening of Shanghai and Kobe by comparing them and to explore the different strategies to the ＂influence of the West over the East＂ in their development of China and Japan.
