摘　　要：在《寻找格林先生》中,索尔·贝娄将乔治·格里布的故事转换成一个当代神话,它是《传道书》式的寓言,象征美国公众普遍的生存环境,旨在关注人类状况这一主题。本文探讨贝娄充满寓言式的写作与人类状况这一主题之间的关系。In Looking for Mr. Green, Saul Bellow transfigures the story of George Grebe into a contemporary myth, which is a parable of the Ecclesiastics. It symbolizes the general existential environment of American people, for the purpose of thematic concern for the human condition. In this paper, the relationship between Bellow＇s allegorical writing and the theme relating to human condi- tion will be explored in detail.
