摘　　要：文章通过文献调研方法,初步梳理了国外农村公共阅读服务实践现状,重点介绍英国、美国、法语国家组织(OIF)的具体案例,归纳出国外农村公共阅读服务具有注重政策引导与推广、资金来源多样、服务品牌化、关注弱势群体、重视服务绩效、加强人员培训等特点。This paper analyzes public reading services in rural areas aboard through literature survey and focuses on three areas： Scotland, California and OIF. Then it summarizes the characteristics of foreign rural public reading services： attaching importance to government＇s supporting, diverse funding sources, service branding, emphases on service performance, paying attention to vulnerable groups, strengthening staff training. Finally, it makes some inspirations for the rural public reading services in China.
