Objective: To investigate the effect of vitamin D supplementation on pulmonary function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), improve the quality of life and exercise tolerance. Methods: 60 patients with severe COPD were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with liquid calcium + vitamin D capsules, and the control group was treated with placebo. Compare two groups of patients with the indicators. Results: The treatment group, the lung function(FEV1, cat, and peripheral blood in 25(OH)D, INF-γ, IL-4 and INF-γ/IL-4 compared with the control group had significant changes(P〈0.05). In treatment group were treated with vitamin D one year after its base comparison, visible FEV1, cat, and the changes in peripheral blood 25(OH)D, INF-γ is with statistical significance(P〈0.05). Conclusion: Oral administration of stable COPD in patients with vitamin D improves lung function and quality of life, and may be related to the improvement of Th1/Th2 imbalance.
