摘　　要：2001年9月日本发生疯牛病(BSE)。此后该国采取多种措施,在2013年重新成为"可忽略BSE风险"的国家。通过回顾日本疯牛病发生经过,介绍其动物卫生部门先后采取的各项举措,分析其成功经验,旨在对我国近年来动物传染病防控提供参考。In September 2001 Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy （BSE） occurred in Japan. after taking various measures, in 2013 Japan finally became one of the ＂negligible BSE risk＂ countries again. In this manuscript, we reviewed the occurrence of BSE in Japan, measures taken by its animal health department, successful experiences, and so as to providing advice for China at the prevention and control of animal diseases.
