OBJECTIVE To analyze the related factors and bacteria distribution of incision infections of patients in general surgical department. METHODS Totally 510 cases of patients in general surgery department were selected from Mar. 2011 to Mar. 2015, and the relevant factors of wound infections were collected and bacteria distribution of incision secretion was observed. All data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 13.0 software. RESULTS The re- sult showed that 34 cases appeared infections in 510 cases of patients, and the infection rate was 6.67%. And old age, acute surgery, basic diabetes, coloreetal surgery, long operative time, type Ⅱ or more severe surgical inci- sions, patients with large amount of bleeding were found to be risk factors for incision infections and the differ- ences were significant (P〈0.05), Totally 25 strains of pathogens were detected, in which 14 strains of gram-neg- ative bacteria (56.00% ) accounted for the majority. CONCLUSION The main pathogenic bacteria of incision infec- tions in general surgery department were gram-negative bacteria, and risks factor for the infections are various. We should attach great importance on it in clinical practices.
