摘　　要：红色基因是中国共产党在长期争取民族独立,实现人民解放的革命进程中凝结形成的精神内核。在实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的时代背景下,红色基因仍不失其现实意义。它的功能作用主要体现在:政治保障、政治依靠;精神源泉、精神动力;道德涵养、道德引领。要让红色基因代代相传,必须做好红色教育使之成为激活红色基因的主要渠道;必须做强红色旅游使之成为激活红色基因的重要方式;必须注重制度设计与创新以构建激活红色基因的长效机制。The red gene is the spiritual kernel formed by the CPC in the long - term revolutionary process of striving for the independence of the nation and realizing the people＇ s liberation. Under the current background of realizing the China Dream of the great revival of the Chinese nation, the red gene still has its practical meaning. Its functions are mainly embodied in：political guarantee and political reliance; spiritual source and spiritual drive; moral accomplishment and moral guide. To pass on the red gene from one generation to another, we must do well the red education and make it become the main channel for activating the red gene; we must develop the red tourism and make it become an important method to activate the red gene;and we must pay attention to insti- tutional design and innovation and build a long -term mechanism for activating the red gene.
