摘　　要：我们认为毛公鼎铭文中的"吉(jí)"应为"巩固"义;"闬(hàn)"应为"谙习"义;"■(zhuān)"应为"专擅"义。The author believes that in meaning the ＂吉 jf＂ in the inscription of the Duke Mao Ding Tripod should be elucidated as ＂consolidate＂, the ＂闬 （han） ＂ as ＂know well＂ and the ＂（心） （zhuan） ＂ as ＂ make a decision without authorization and act arbitrarily＂ .
