摘　　要：在西方侵略所带来的危机逼迫下,曾国藩突破传统文化的限制,从不识夷情到倡导"师夷智",推进洋务运动,从而引发了中国现代化的早期进程。不过,传统文化、认识西方路径、个人经历和精力制约了他对西方认识的宽度和深度。就认识西方而言,曾国藩起了"但开风气不为师"的作用。In Zeng Guofan＇ s theory of family management,family tradition is an important part. Zeng established his family traditions by asking the family members to honor parents, love siblings, educate sons, and guide females. Traditions of honoring parents, loving siblings, and educating sons were carried out in both ordinary days and moments of crisis. And guiding female family members meant to offer advice to wives, daughters, and daughters-in-law.
