摘　　要：皮尔斯是西方科学经济学的先驱者,其富于原创性的"研究的经济学",特别是其中关于科研项目选择的成本约束效用模型,论证方法新颖,图表绘制先进,对效用理论有新的发展,是早期西方科学经济学的重要成果。他对可检验性、溯因推理及其与科学研究经济学的关系阐述,展现了一个实用主义哲学家的理念和见解。皮尔斯一度被人忽视的科学经济学研究对于我们从经济学的维度来理解科学具有不可忽视的意义。Charles Sanders Peirce is a pioneer in the western economics of science. In his Economy of Research, an important original work in this field, Peirce presents a cost-utility model of research project selection with innovative arguments and advanced diagrams, which promotes the development of utility theory. As a pragmatist philosopher, he shows his ideas and insights in his e- laboration on the testability, abduction as well as their relationships with the economics of scientific research. Long over-due is the attention to Peirce＇ s research as it can serve as an inspiration for us to study science from the perspective of economics.
