Managing the CIGEO Design： A Challenge and an Opportunity

摘　　要：INGEROP has been working for years on the French deep geological repository＇s design for ANDRA, carrying out since 2012 the preliminary design, the global project management and the technical integration for the engineering of the CIGEO project （in a 50-50 consortium with the French company TECHNIP）. The article presents some particular organizational aspects that, turned out to be more challenging than foreseen in the course of our activities. Starting from the presentation of real examples, some lessons learned are derived as well as practices of interest in solving analogue issues in similar projects, with focus on its application to the management of the engineering phase of geological repositories and other＇ megaprojects＇ in different countries.
