This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of fructooligosaccharide(FOS) ongrowth performance, immunity and intestinal flora of replacement gilts. 224 replacement gilts were ran-domly divided into 2 groups(control group, FOS group), with 8 replications per group and 14 gilts ineach replication. Control group was fed basal diet, FOS group was fed basal diet supplemented with0.1% FOS. The experiment lasted for 30 days. The results showed that: 1 Compared with control group, average daily gain(ADG) of FOS group was significantly higher than control group(P〈0.05), F/G was low-er than control group and apparent digestibility was higher than control group; 2 The level of T3, T4 inserum of FOS group was higher than control group; 3 The level of Ig G, Ig M in serum of FOS group werehigher than control group(P〈0.05); 4 The amount of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in feces of FOSgroup were higher than control group(P〈0.05), the amount of E.coli in feces of FOS group was lower thancontrol group. It was concluded that FOS can improve the performance and immunity and intestinal floraof replacement gilt in varying degrees. These results can apply to production in the future.
