摘　　要：当代美国犹太作家菲利普·罗斯的创作具有非常明显的自传性书写特征,这是罗斯深陷犹太伦理冲突中自我辩护的书写策略。随着自传性书写策略的逐渐成熟,其自传性书写具有了明显的"元-自传"性,暴露出自传文体在建构多元化自我身份中无法摆脱的伦理困境。而这种伦理困境的产生最直接的原因是作家需要在自我创造的自由与书写他人的责任之间做出伦理选择。罗斯在伦理困境中挣扎式的自传性写作具有鲜明的个性和独特的审美价值,体现了他身为犹太裔美国作家对美国多元文化语境的深刻思考。Philip Roth＇s autobiographical writing serves as the strategy for self-defense as he falls into Jewish ethical conflict. With the maturation of Roth＇s autobiographical writing strategy, his autobiographical writing acquires the typical feature of ＂meta-memoirs＂, which exposes the ethical predicament of autobiographical genre in the construction of multiple identities.While Roth writes about himself, he finds himself inevitably writing about other people. Autobiographical writing must follow the basic ethical requirements. Struggling in such an ethical predicament, Roth bestows his autobiographical writing with a distinct personality and unique aesthetic value, which reflects his deep speculation over multiculturalism in America as a Jewish American writer.
