Objective To observe influence and curative effect by Xingnaojing on s100β protein in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning coma patients. Methods A total of 42 acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning coma patients were divided by random number table into treatment group and control group, with 21 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment, and the treatment group received additional Xingnaojing injection. Observation was made on coma to awaken time, revival time of cholinesterase(CHE), and cases with intermediate syndrome. Contents of s100β protein were detected in the first, second and third days in coma for analysis. Results The treatment group had obviously better coma to awaken time, revival time of CHE, and cases with intermediate syndrome than the control group(P〈0.05). The difference of s100β protein content had no statistical significance in the first day of coma between the two groups(P〉0.05). The differences in the second and third days all had statistical significance between the two groups(P〉0.05). Conclusion Implement of Xingnaojing injection in treating acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning coma patients can remarkably reduce content of s100β protein and neurological function impairment in coma, and improve cure rate in patients.
