陶朱公范蠡身份再审视

摘　　要：范蠡在助越灭吴、越国称霸后激流勇退,泛舟北上齐国,终定居于陶,自号"陶朱公"。至今对陶朱公范蠡的身份定论不一,莫衷一是。有人认为范蠡助越称霸,应为政治家;有人认为其助越灭吴,应为军事家;亦有人因其经商有道,累积巨富,尊称其为"商圣"。事实上,对于一个人身份的界定应从其一生所经历,以及其为当时国家社会所做出的贡献,还有其对后世影响等全面来衡量,而不能以偏概全。就范蠡一生而言,他应当是春秋末期著名的政治家。Without enjoying his success in having helped Kingdom of Yue defeat Wu, Fan Li went to Kingdom of Qi and settled down in Tao named Tao Zhu by himself. So far, his identity is still controversial. Some think he should be a politician for his helping Kingdom of Yue get domination. Some believe he should be a strategist for his helping Yue defeat Wu. Others consider him as an excellent merchant for his business ways. In fact, the definition of the identity of a person should be based on all his life experiences, contributions to the society at that time and the impact on later generations avoiding overgeneralization. Upon his whole life, Fan Li should be a famous politi- cian in late Spring and Autumn Period.
