城市养老院老年人自杀意念初探  

A preliminary Study of the Suicidal Ideation among the Aged Home Residents in a Chinese City

摘　　要：利用对某市生活在养老院的206位老人进行问卷调查所获得的数据资料,对养老院老人自杀意念出现的比率和相关因素进行了初步的分析。研究发现,在过去的一个月内老人出现自杀意念的比率为17.4%;与老年人自杀意念相关的主要因素包括抑郁症状、生活满意度、对于养老院在服务、管理、居住、膳食、娱乐、收费等具体方面的满意度以及对于养老院总的满意度等。与国外养老院老人相比,我国城市养老院老人出现自杀意念的比率并不高。研究结果表明,要防止养老院老人产生自杀意念,不仅要关注老年人的精神卫生——心理健康方面的问题,也要注意不断改进和完善各项养老院的日常服务,不断提高他们对于具体服务、对于养老院以及对于生活的满意度。Using questionnaire survey data from 206 aged home residents in a Chinese city, this paper conducts a preliminary study of the prevalence and correlates of the suicidal ideation among this group. The results show that the prevalence of the suicidal ideation in the past month is 17.4%, and the major correlates are depressive symptoms, life satisfaction, the satisfaction with the services, management, lodging, recreational activities, and fee charging, as well as the overall satisfaction with the aged homes they are admitted. Compared to their counterparts in other countries, the prevalence of suicidal ideation among the aged home residents in this Chinese city is not high. The implications of the study are that the aged homes should attach great importance not only to the mental health/psychological well-being of their residents but also to the improvement of the services they provide so as to better prevent the suicidal ideation among their residents, and further enhance the residents' satisfaction with services, aged homes and life.
