摘　　要：枫叶红铁矿隶属西非塞拉利昂共和国南方省普杰洪（Pujehun）管辖.铁矿产于新太古界卡斯拉（KASILA）群下部陶日（Taor）组,呈EW 向带状产出,整体南倾,倾角13°-61°,全区共分为5矿带,21条矿体.本文对其中的Ⅴ-①、Ⅷ-①两条主矿体特征进行了阐述,且总结了本区最有效的磁铁矿找矿标志为磁铁石英岩露头、磁法异常.The Funehun Fe deposit is located in the jurisdiction of Pujehun in Southern Province of The Republic of Sierra Leone in Western Africa.The iron orebodies occur in Taor Formation of lower Kasila Group of Neoarchean Erathem along the EW trending as banded in form with a dip angle of 13°-61°towards the south.The region is divided into 5ore belts and 21 orebodies.This paper elaborated on two of the main orebodies which are orebody V-1andⅧ-1in the perspective of characteristics.It is concluded that the most effective clues for prospecting of magnetite quartzite outcrops and magnetic anomalies.
