摘　　要：议论文类型的英文写作是各种外语类考试的重点,也是第二外语学习者学习的难点。其中中式思维的运用和独到见解的缺失是第二外语学习者在英语议论文写作中常见的弊病。鉴于此,阐释如何借鉴英国议会制辩论模式构建外语学习者的正向思维和逆向思维,并在英语议论文写作中运用,意在提高第二外语学习者的英语议论文写作水平,同时培养第二外语学习者的西式思维、逻辑思维和思辨能力。Argumentative writing is an important type in all kinds of exams; meanwhile, it is difficult to all the second language learners. The application of Chinese thinking pattern and the absence of creative thinking often present in English argumentative writing of the second language learners. Therefore, the thesis analyses how the BP debate assists in the construction of reverse thinking and direct thinking in English argumentation. It not only improves the second language learners＇ argumentative writing, but cultivates their western thinking pattern, critical thinking and logical thinking.
