摘　　要：如今,德国女高音达姆劳（Diana Damrau）参演的歌剧,逐渐成为大都会歌剧院每季最让人期待的演出之一。她从花腔起家,一开始是以泽比内塔（《阿里阿德涅在纳克索斯》）、夜后（《魔笛》）、康斯坦泽（《后宫诱逃》）里的高音让人听之为振。但是她近几年演出的美声和抒情的角色,让人发现她声音的情感表现和戏剧性更为精彩动人,Although Carmen is one of the most frequently performed operas at the Metropolitan Opera,Bizet's youthful The Pearl Fishers had not graced the stage there for a century.Because of Diana Damrau,the German soprano who has become one of the most exciting singers at the Met in recent years,Les pecheurs de perles has returned.In this Penny Woolcock's production,the setting is moved to a modern-day fishing town in Southeast Asia.Her realistic depiction of the town people's lives largely bypassed the 'exotic' criticism often lobbed against the opera.The three lead singers presented some moving performances;they performed Bizet's lyrical melodies with extraordinary beauty.
