摘　　要：In Yunnan, it is said ＂A woman who doesn＇t know how to embroider is not a real Yi woman.＂Compared with other ethnic minorities in Yunnan, China＇s most diverse province, the Yi people have a larger population widely distributed in many branches, so their ethnic embroidery patterns are also more complicated and varied. The time-consuming craft of Yi embroidery dates back 1700 years ago, and there are many skilled embroiderers across the province.
