摘　　要：威廉·卡洛斯·威廉斯是意象派代表人物之一,是20世纪美国最卓越的诗人之一,30年代后他又投入客观主义运动。他提出的"思想仅寓于事物中"是其客观派理念的核心。文章运用认知诗学的图形—背景理论解读威廉斯的意象派诗歌《红色手推车》,阐述其客观派理念在这首短诗中的体现。William Carlos Williams is a representative of imagism,and one of the most excellent poems of the 20 thcentury. He devoted to the objectivism movement since 1930 s,and proposed the idea of ＂reflecting the ideas from objects＂. ＂The Red Wheelbarrow＂is analyzed with the cognitive theory of figure and ground to show the objectivism in this poem.
