耶律楚材为中书令诸问题之探讨

摘　　要：对于耶律楚材是否曾任中书令一职,有学者提出质疑,认为中书令乃耶律楚材"窃号自娱"。历史研究需有正确的史学观并采用切实可信的史料。现存金石碑刻,证明元太宗时确已设立中书省,而耶律楚材任中书省长官,当时官职称呼乃蒙文和汉文同时并行,根据中书令的职责以及当时人对他的称呼,可以断定,耶律楚材当时实际行使着中书令的职权,称其为中书令毫不为过。关于其官居相位之问题,除了史书记载之外,尚可在其诗文中找到内证,在其亲朋好友及南宋官员的诗文中找到旁证。因朝中为相者并非只有耶律楚材一人,其权力必定分散,今人对其进行评价不可过于求全责备。Some scholars doubted about whether Yelv Chucai ever assumed the post of Zhongshuling（Head of the Secretariat）, thinking that Yelu Chucai appointed himself for entertainment. According to the existing inscriptions, Emperor Taizong in the Yuan Dynasty indeed set up the Secretariat and Yelv Chucai was appointed Executive of the Secretariat. At that time the official appellation was in Mongolian and Chinese simultaneously. By the duties of Head of the Secretariat and appellation, Yelv Chucai was indeed exercising the duties and was sufficiently to be called Head of the Secretariat. His post as Prime Minister was also proved by historical records, his poems and the poems by his relatives and friends and the officials of the Southern Song Dynasty. As there were prime ministers other than Yelv Chucai, it is no wonder that the power was decentralized. Any evaluation on him today must not be over demanding and over perfecting.
