《理科季刊》对中国近现代数学早期发展的学术记录

摘　　要：为厘清期刊对中国近现代数学早期发展的学术记录,通过原始文献查阅,对《武汉大学学报》的前身——《理科季刊》中的数学学术文章进行考察,通过刊、人、文三个方面进行解析,得到:《理科季刊》刊物形式已趋于成熟,核心作者都是留学国外归国任教的学术先驱,其文章学术内容已经有了创新。认为:高校系统的学科教育为学科的早期发展提供了全面的支持和不断的后备人才,《理科季刊》体现出我国从大综合的高校学术期刊向自然科学学报转变的过程,同时也记录了中国近现代数学早期发展的学术进程。To clarify the acadamic record of Chinese modem mathematics＇ early development, the mathemati- cal articles in Quarterly Journal of Science, which was the predecessor of Journal of Wuhan University, were investgated through overviewing the original references. After analyzing the journal, the authors and the arti- cles, the following three results were obtained. First, the journal format of Quarterly Journal of Science was mature gradually. Second, the key authors were the academic pioneer who studied abroad and retumed to teach. Third, there were creation on these articles＇ contents at that time. Therefore, the subject education in college system supplied the overall support and reserved talents for early development of subjects, and Quarter- ly Journal of Science not only showed the transformation process from comprehensive college journal to natural science joumal, but also recorded the academic progress of Chinese modem mathematics＇ early development.
