摘　　要：结合广东联通U900试验网的结果以及现有2G/3G网络状况,从WCDMA网络覆盖和容量需求角度对U900进城的必要性进行了分析,从2G网络减容可行性、G/U900干扰、终端支持度等方面对U900进城的可行性进行了分析。According to results of UMTS900 trail network and 2G/3G network conditions of Guangdong Unicom, the necessity of UMTS900 in urban areas was analyzed in aspects of WCDMA network coverage and capacity. In addition, feasibilities of UMTS900 in urban areas were analyzed from perspectives of 2G network capacity reduction, interference between GSM900 and UMTS900 and terminal penetration.
