Experience of WANG Yun-ming in the treatment of menstrual headache

摘　　要：鲁中名医王云铭老先生善治妇科疾病,治疗经行头痛疗效显著。妇人在行经时,大量血气积聚胞宫,消耗阴血,位居中轴的冲脉与任脉一起推动气血下行胞宫,本已亏损的冲脉无力上行气血;受之影响,督脉此时推动阳气上行也乏力。若素体气血虚弱,亏虚的冲督在行经时更加虚损不能上达脑窍,气血不荣,若贼风乘虚而入上犯脑窍,清窍受扰则头痛剧烈。王老认为经行头痛的病因病机为冲督二脉亏损,风邪上犯脑窍而致,虚实夹杂,本虚标实。王老治疗经行头痛以滋补冲督、通行阳气为主,平肝疏风为辅,慎用活血。WANG Yun-ming,the famous doctor of central region of Shandong Province,is good at treatment menstrual headache.He considers,during menstruation,large amount of qi and blood is accumulated in the womb,and the yin blood is consumed.Located in the central axis,Ren channel and Chong channel promote blood downlink to uterus together.Already deficiency of Chong channel cannot push up the qi and blood.So,affected by that,governor meridian is difficult to promote yang qi upstream.If the woman’s qi and blood are weak,during menstruation,Chong channel and governor meridian are more and more deficient and difficult to reach the brain.Deficiency of qi and blood,if pathogenic factors violates the brain,the brain is disturbed,so woman suffers severe headaches.Doctor WANG considers,the pathogenesis of menstrual headache is because of the deficiency of Chong channel and governor meridian,wind-evil violating the brain to cause disease.It is intermingled deficiency and excess,asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality.So Doctor WANG’s the basic principle for treating this kind of disease is nourishing Chong channel and governor meridian,and activating yang,with expelling wind and calming the liver as auxiliary.Blood-activating drug should be used with caution.
