摘　　要：本文在分析博士生学术能力内涵与相关研究的基础上,报告了对我国11所高校228名英语专业博士生的一项问卷调查,讨论了博士生选择导师的考虑因素,博士生与导师学术交流次数和方式,导师指导和参与导师课题对博士生学术能力发展的影响,导师对博士生专业知识、科研能力、学术兴趣、治学态度、道德修养的影响,并基于定性定量数据提出针对性建议,旨在为英语专业博士生学术能力发展与博士生教育提供启示。Starting with an analysis of the connotation of doctoral candidates＇ academic competence and relevant studies, this paper reports a survey among 228 English doctoral candidates from 11 universities in China. It covers the influential factors of choosing supervisors, the frequency and ways of academic communication between the doctoral candidates and their supervisors, the impact of the supervisors＇ guidance and participating in the supervisors＇ research projects on the doctoral candidates＇ academic competence development, the supervisors＇ influence on the candidates＇ expertise, research ability, academic interest, academic attitude and morality. Based on the qualitative and quantitative data, the paper puts forward some practical suggestions, with the purpose of providing certain enlightenment for the academic competence development of English doctoral candidates and doctoral education.
