摘　　要：美国伊利诺伊州惠顿学院英语教授艾伦·雅各布斯所著《消遣时代的阅读乐趣》,提醒人们要对阅读现状有充分的"忧患意识",并结合我国当前阅读国情加以阐述,以期国人在"全民阅读"的时代背景上,自觉养成良好阅读习惯,从而保持"随兴而读"的终身学习行为。This article tries to suggest readers should have a ＇sense of urgency＇ while reading through recommending Alan Jaeobs＇ The pleasures of reading in an age of distraction, who was the English professor of Wheaton College, Illinois. It also relates our current reading situation and wishes to encourage the readers of our country forming a better reading habit and a lifelong learning style through ＇ reading with interest＇ in the background of National Reading Era.
