论黑人教堂对黑人女性身份之建构——以《向苍天呼吁》为例

摘　　要：著名黑人男性作家詹姆士·鲍德温的第一部小说《向苍天呼吁》以其浓厚、隐晦的宗教色彩受到评论界的关注和争议,但是极少有人注意到宗教和其中黑人女性角色之间的关系。从黑人女权主义的视角来看,黑人教堂具有种族加性别的双重特征,对黑人女性构成了制度性的压迫;宗教教义在意识形态的层面再次构建了黑人女性的弱势身份。鲍德温以其亲身经历为基础,在《向苍天呼吁》中揭开了宗教神秘的面纱,以艺术的手法深刻揭示了黑人女性弱势身份的宗教根源,为受压迫的黑人姐妹发出了微弱的呼救。Go Tell It on the Mountain, the first novel of the famous Black male writer James Baldwin, has been paid much attention to and argued for its rich and ambiguous religious elements. However, the relationship between religion and Black heroines has often been ignored by the critics. Analyzing in the Black feminist point of view, this paper finds that the Black people＇s church embodies both racism and sexism. Together with its religious teachings, Black church constructs the disadvantageous identity of Black women at levels of both social system and ideology. Based on his personal experience, Baldwin artistically unfolds the mysterious veil of the religion, reveals the religious origin of the Black women＇s disadvantaged identity, and calls for help in a faint voice for his oppressed Black sisters.
