论《丧钟为谁而鸣》中语码转换与人物形象塑造的关系

摘　　要：海明威在小说《丧钟为谁而鸣》中大量运用语码转换手段。该手段对塑造人物形象起到了重要作用。语码转换成为海明威体现其"冰山原则"的重要方式,即借助不同语码的客观化转换,将自己的意图蕴藏于语码的转换与互动之中,以这种动态性的语码并置掩藏大量信息,尤其是有关人物心理与性格特征的信息。主要人物乔丹的英勇果敢、比拉尔的豪迈和顾全大局、巴勃罗的圆滑机巧和纠结等心理与性格特征,皆因语码转换的运用而变得更为鲜明。对该作品的语码转换做文学性探讨,一方面有助于读者更为深刻地了解人物内心活动;另一方面对海明威运用语码转换的成功经验进行分析,对于如何处理创作中遇到的多语码问题有着重要借鉴意义。In the novel For Whom the Bell Tolls,Hemingway applies plenty of code switching as a special literary method to embody his own ＂iceberg principle＂ ,which is important for the image-molding in the novel.Behind the objective code switching,Hemingway hides his intentions metaphorically in the interactions of code switching.Due to the applications of code-switching,the inner worlds of the main characters can be described more vividly,so that the reader can have a deeper understanding of Jordan′s bravery,Pilar′s Heroic spirit,Pablo′s subtleness and inner conflicts,and so on.Analyzing literally the code-switching in the novel can help readers to understand the inner activities of the characters deeper.Besides,Hemingway’s successful experience in the use of code switching has a great reference for the creation of works dealing with two or more languages.
