“赣县”、“虔州”、“赣州”地名考

摘　　要：早期生活在赣南大地的是赣巨人,因人名县,所以楚在赣南设＂上赣君＂进行羁縻统治,西汉设县时又命名为赣县。西晋太康三年,在赣南设立南康郡,取南部康宁之寓意,并因县名水,将豫章水改名为赣水。从南朝到隋唐时期,为进一步附会＂赣＂字,又将彭水和湖汉水分别改名为章水和贡水。但是,由于这一时期未形成统一的观念,所以时人容易将章、贡二水的名字弄混淆。北宋年间,章、贡二水的称呼固定下来。受此影响,宋人也常用＂赣川＂或者＂章贡＂来代指虔州,并成为宋时的习惯用语。南宋初期,虔州动乱频繁,统治者认为应了杀虔之义,为了去其不令之名,取章、贡二水合流之义,因水名州,改虔州为赣州。Because Ganjuren lives in the Gannan areas at the early stage,Chu established＂Shangganjun＂to rule with the policy of mollification in the Gannan areas. The ruler set county in Gannan and named Gan county in the Xihan Dynasty. At the 3rd year of Taikang in the Xijin Dynasty,the ruler set Nankang county in Gannan. The name of Nankang has the meaning of health and peace in Southern. In order to following the name of county,the Yuzhang river was changed the name to Gan river. From the Southern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties,in order to interpret the word of＂Gan＂,the Peng river and Huhan river were changed these names to Zhang river and Gong river. However,there was no same sense at that time,these names of Zhang river and Gong river were easily confused by people. The names of Zhang river and Gong river were stationary in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the early Southern Song Dynasty. The ruler thought that the word of＂Qian＂has the bad meaning of＂Kill the Qian＂because of the frequency of disturbances in Qianzhou. In order to remove the bad meaning,the name of Qianzhou was changed to Ganzhou which means the Zhang river and Gong river join together.
