In this study,an appraisal-tendency framework( ATF) was adopted to analyze the influence of specific emotion on risk preference. The results of Experiment 1 indicated that individuals under the emotions associated with high certainty( anger and happy) showed higher risk-seeking tendency. In contrast, individuals under the emotions associated with low certainty( fear) showed lower risk-seeking tendency. In other words, the difference in core appraisal theme of emotion, not the value, played a key role in the influence on risk preference. Further,a partial mediating effect of appraisal-tendency was verified in the relation between emotion and risk preference. Experiment 2 indicated that the interaction of emotion's certainty and task risk was significant. Specifically, when the task risk was certain, individuals with anger emotion( high certainty) showed higher risk-seeking tendency than the ones with fear emotion( low certainty). However, when the risk was uncertain, there was no difference about risk preference between the two conditions. Results suggested the appraisal-tendency inspired by emotion would be restrained by the risk of task,if both directions of emotion's certainty and risk task did not match.
