The experiment aimed to evaluate the effect of molybdenum on immunoglobulin and cytokine contents in mouse serum by the methods of ELISA.Four different doses of molybdenum(groupⅠ,0mg/L;groupⅡ,400mg/L;groupⅢ,800mg/L;groupⅣ,1 200mg/L)were added to the drinking water.60thirty-days-old mice were divided into four groups randomly for 42 days.Autopsies were made periodically to get the blood. The result showed that IgE in serum of mice were showed no significant change(P〉0.05)throughout the experiment.IgG and IgM in serum of mice were decreased with increasing the dose of molybdenum and exposure time.IL-2in serum of mice was significantly lower(P〈0.05 or P〈0.01)compared with that in groupⅠfrom 14 to 42d.IL-4in serum of mice were decreased with increasing the dose of molybdenum.IFN-γand IL-6in serum of mice was dropped after the first rise with the dose increasing. It is conclude that molybdenum over 400mg/L can decreasse the lever of immunoglobulin and anti-inflammatory cytokines and the contents to flammatory cytokines drop after the first rise.
