摘　　要：通过对小说《紫艾草骑士》的分析和探索,揭示了历史上的摩门教披着宗教的外衣,道德败坏、罪行累累。认为一夫多妻制泛滥、政权与神权勾结、教会黑暗势力猖獗等卑劣虚伪的行径亵渎了宗教信仰,破坏了社会秩序,注定要受到正义的审判和惩罚。Through the analysis and exploration of Riders of the Purple Sage,it considers that,under the cloak of religion,the Mormon Church committed many serious crimes and got morally degenerated,including prevalence of polygamy,collusion of political power with theocracy,and rampancy of the evil force in the Mormon Church,which desecrate people＇s faith and violate social order.Hence,these despicable and disingenuous crimes are destined to be severely criticized and punished by justice.
