Objective: To compare the prevention and treatment effect of neck muscle quartet resistance static functional exercise and writing "鳯" with head for the cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) at early stage. Methods: 90 cases of patients with early cervical spondylotic myelopathy were randomly divided into group A (30 cases), group B (30 cases) and group C (30 cases), the group A treated by neck muscle quartet resistance static functional exercise combined with health education, group B by writing "鳯" with head combined with health education, group C by single health education, observed the efficacy of three groups. Results: The JOA improvement rate and excellent rate of group A were both higher than those of group B and group C (P〈0.05); the JOA improvement rate and excellent rate had no statistical differences between group B and group C (P〉0.05). Conclusion: Neck muscle quartet resistance static functional exercise combined with health education has a significant curative effect on the prevention and treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy at early stage, which is not only convenient and effective, but also can reduce expenses, deserves clinical promotion and application.
