摘　　要：简述了三峡大学图书馆期刊架位目录数据库开发的目的和作用,阐明了开发期刊架位目录数据库的指导思想和原则,重点介绍了期刊架位目录数据库的主要内容、设计方法及步骤,并总结了其创新之处。This paper sketches the targets and functions of the development of the periodical shelf-position catalog database in the library of Three Gorges University, expounds the guiding ideology and basic principle of the development of the periodical shelf-position catalog database, emphatically introduces the main contents, design methods and procedures of the development of the periodical shelf-position catalog database, and sums up its innovative points.
