论白居易与韩愈复古文学观念之分野——从皇甫湜与白居易争名一事说起

摘　　要：韩愈门人皇甫湜与白居易争名并贬斥白氏文章的传闻,应是实有其事的。作为韩愈的追随者,皇甫湜对白居易的评价实际上代表了韩愈一派对白氏的基本看法,从中不仅可以窥见元和后的文坛走向,还可以见出韩愈、白居易二人复古文学观念的不同。韩、白二人都具有复古的文学理念,但他们一依托于古文,一着力于诗歌,在路径选择与文化取向上存在较大差异。他们二人对于以往文学资源吸收的内容与角度不同,进而造成他们在写作策略上的不同姿态。这是他们创作风格迥异的重要原因。The hearsay about Bai Juyi and Huangfu Shi＇s competition for literary reputation may be real.As a disciple of Han Yu,Huangfu Shi＇s opinion on Bai Juyi actually represents the basic idea of Han Yu＇s party,from which we can get a clear understanding about not only the literary trend of the post- Yuanhe time,but also the differences between Bai Juyi and Han Yu＇s literature view on restoring ancient way. Both the two men had the idea of restoring to the ancient way,but one of them emphasized on ancient prose,while the other focused on ancient poetry. They were also divergent in approach selection and cultural orientation. They absorbed different contents at different angles from the ancient literary resource,thus created their different strategy and attitude in their writings. This is an important cause for their different literary styles.
