摘　　要：玛格丽特·德拉布尔的《红王妃》是一部对小说文本性有强烈自我意识、却又能对社会现实产生伦理影响的小说。《红王妃》在现实层面产生的伦理效应,源自它对文本自身包含的伦理向度的挖掘。小说拒绝将叙事文本视为一个静态的文字集合体,仅凭借其叙述内容反映伦理问题。相反,叙事文本是伦理行动展开的场域,由文本引发的叙述、阐释、重述等活动既蕴含了叙述者向后世读者的召唤,也表现了读者敞开自身接纳文本他异之声的好客姿态。《红王妃》体现出的这些文本观与列维纳斯以语言为媒介向他者趋近的伦理思想相暗合。Margaret Drabble＇s The Red Queen, a text that is keenly aware of its own textuality, attempts to exert an ethical influence on social reality. This essay argues that the novel＇s influence on reality derives from its exploration of the ethical imports of narrative texts. The novel refuses to regard a narrative text as a static ensemble of words that merely refers to ethical issues. Rather, a narrative text inspires ethical activities such as narration, interpretation, and re-telling, where the narrator addresses the reader and the reader in turn exposes himself to the Other from the text. Drabble＇s view on narrative texts as manifested in this novel resonates with Emmanuel Levinas＇ s idea of language as a vehicle of approaching the Other.
