摘　　要：小说《简爱》中的简爱与疯女人的人生态度是下层女性形象的意识与潜意识的艺术符号。这个艺术符号不是关于性别问题,而是社会阶级问题,尤其是社会阶级调和理想的诗性说明。它不但作为一面镜子生动地反映了一个下层女性形象的欢欣与痛苦、生存与死亡,而且通过女性的声音,表达了关于社会人生、历史发展的深刻见解。The life attitudes of Jane and the mad woman in the novel Jane Eyre is an artistic symbol of a lower – level woman＇s consciousness and subconsciousness. The artistic symbol is a poetic explanation relating to the social class,especially the ideal of the class harmony,not relating to the problem of sex.The artistic symbol not only mirrors the author＇s pleasure and pain,existence and death but also expresses a woman＇s deep opinions on social life and historical development through her voice.
