摘  要:瞬态电子器件是指当所制备的电子功能器件在完成指定功能后,其物理形态和功能可以在外界刺激触发下立即发生部分消失或者完全消失的一种新兴电子器件.传统意义上的电子器件通常非常稳定,甚至需要在极端环境下能够正常工作,但正是这种稳定性使得当前淘汰或者损毁的电子器件成为污染环境的主要源头之一.相反,具有可降解功能并能够在外界特定刺激作用下发生即时降解的瞬态电子概念的提出很好地解决了这个难题.同时,瞬态电子具有可以补充传统集成电路的能力,并将应用领域扩展至植入式可降解医疗电子器件、安全电子器件、可消失环境传感器和零废物消费电子器件中.本文综述了近几年瞬态电子器件的兴起和发展,阐述了以瞬态技术为基础的各类电子器件的潜在应用.Fabrication of durable and long-lasting electronics is well established and desirable in traditional electronic devices. On the contrary, transient electronics is a new concept based on rapid and demand degradation of electronics after a programmed set period of operations. It represents a novel class of electronics that can physically and/or functionally disappear in part or as a whole when they are subjected to certain stimulus. Traditional electronics usually requires functionally stable even under extreme conditions. Such characteristic, however, renders current electronic devices that are malfunctioned or destroyed possess a great threat to our environment and become one of the major sources of environmental pollution. In contrast, transient electronic devices that can degrade or disintegrate after stable operation for a desired period under certain conditions may avert this problem while its performance can be comparable with current devices. Meanwhile, transient electronics could supplement the limitation of traditional electronics and potentially could be of great interest for applications in biomedical implants, secure memory devices, disposable environmental sensors, and zero-waste consumer electronic devices. For example, the transient electronics could be used for implantable medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices that resorb in the body to avoid adverse long-term effects. Transient electronic devices could also be used as environmental sensors that could dissolve to eliminate the need for their retrieval. Moreover, transient electronics could be integrated in portable consumer devices that decompose to minimize the costs and health risks that associated with recycling and the management of hazardous waste streams. Obviously, transient electronics is a subject that is interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary, involving materials science, electronics, mechanics, biology and other subjects.
