摘　　要：special Tibetan medical knowledge, Monpa Tsasang, has been established. Most eminent monks and living Buddhas of Tibetan Buddhism are proficient at Tibetan medicine. On the wall charts of The Four Medical Tantras, the classics of Tibetan medicine, quite a few eminent monks have been noted from different times. Some secret recipes for difficult miscellaneous diseases frequently occurring in Tibet have been well carried on by inheritance since ancient times from master to pupil in the monasteries. As a Tibetan doctor sees his patient, he often consults the astronomical almanac, chants sutras, prays, and enshrines Buddhas first before he gives his diagnosis and treatment, and quite often, his treatment takes quick effect.Tibetan medicine adheres to strict regulations and rigorous traditional medicinal theories in gathering materials and processing procedures.Before and after the medicine is made,a religious ritual must be held to enchant the medicinal materials for seven days,during which monks,pharmacists,doctors,
