摘　　要：牧歌在中古晚期才传入英国,但一开始就表现出与本土语境相融合的倾向。这些早期牧歌不但体现出英国诗人的本土意识,还表现出较强的批判现实主义精神。最早用英国方言创作传统牧歌的是亚历山大·巴克莱,他的译介和创作让英国诗人真正领略到田园诗歌的独特魅力;受其影响,更多有才华的诗人加入到田园诗歌的创作队伍,他们在全面译介古典牧歌的同时,更加大了创作革新的力度。这些早期牧歌诗人共同开创了"新阿卡迪亚"牧歌风尚,为即将到来的英国田园诗歌的全面繁荣奠定了坚实的基础。Though pastoral poetry was first introduced to Britain as late as the end of the medieval period,it began to manifest a tendency of combining with the local cultural context at the very beginning.The early eclogues show not only the poets＇ consciousness of native culture,but a spirit of critical realism as well.The first poet who composed eclogues in the English language is Alexander Barclay,whose translation and creation of pastoral poetry prepared the native poets for the special charm of eclogue.Influenced by Barclay,more and more English poets engaged themselves in the translation and creation of pastoral poetry innovatively.Those early pastoral poetry initiated a＂neo-Arcadian＂fashion,which set a solid foundation for the coming flourish of English pastoral poetry in the Renaissance period.
