摘　　要：文章选取截止到2012年底我国29所"985工程"高校、38所非"985工程"类"211工程"高校图书馆,275所普通高校以及205所高职高专院校的图书馆面积数据进行分类统计分析,并选取100所高校图书馆作为研究对象,对高校图书馆面积、经费使用以及大学排名进行相关分析,结果表明高等院校对图书馆面积的重视程度与综合实力呈显著正相关。由于高校不断扩招,图书馆人均面积仍需有较大的提升空间。高校图书馆面积规划和建设的发展需要得到政府和高校的关注和重视,并注入可持续发展的理念,对图书馆进行科学合理的空间规划和功能布局。This paper studies the data of building area of libraries in over 500 Chinese colleges and universities collected in 2012,among which there are 29 985 Project universities,38 211 Project but not 985 Project universities,275 regular colleges and universities and 205 higher educational colleges. Furthermore,after a thorough analysis on the building area and expenditure on libraries as well as university ranking of 100 universities,it can be drawn that emphasis put on building area of libraries and comprehensive strength of universities are positive related. It concludes that library area per capita is substandard due to enrollment expansion. The development of space planning and construction of libraries in colleges and universities needs high attention paid by government as well as colleges and universities. Space planning and functional layout should be scientific and reasonable with a concept of sustainable development.
