摘　　要：本文从意向性理论的视角出发,探讨"四句式谜语"生成和理解过程中的心智运作规律,为"谜语为什么可能"提供心智哲学层面的解释。研究认为,谜语的生成及理解源自人的意向性。出谜人在意向态度的影响下,选择某种谜面表达式,影射意向内容谜底;谜面的选择取决于谜底事物的物理属性引发的心理属性,心理属性在相当程度上依赖于物理属性,正是"心物随附性"使谜面内容和谜底事物得以相互连通;谜语的理解是猜谜人在意向性作用下进行的反溯推理。This paper attempts to explore humans mental process in the production and understanding of'four-phrase riddles'from the perspective of the Intentionality Theory. The study shows that all the riddles originate from intentionality, and that it is with certain intentional attitudes that riddle-producers select the proper language expressions of riddles to indicate and represent the intentional content, depending on the mental property triggered by the physical property of objects in the actual situation. Besides, riddle-guessers understanding of riddles can be viewed as a reasoning process because of psychological supervenience that associates language expressions(riddles) with intentional content(answers).
