摘　　要："records"一词应该如何翻译,是近年来我国档案管理理论研究与实践工作中的关注热点之一。论文在梳理我国不同观点的基础上,分析我国对"records"的翻译存在争议的本质与原因,并进一步分析国外对records一词的定义,最后,指出不能拘泥于具体某一定义的表述,而应该立足于records的整体价值与运动阶段,并通过与我国的"文件"、"档案"术语的对比,指出"records"应该翻译为"档案"。How to translate ＂records＇is a key problem of archival theory research and practice work in recent years in China. This article discusses the different opinions in china ,analyzing the reason about the argument.Then analysis different definition of the word ＂records＂ in abroad, and point out that the transla- tion of ＂records＇should not focus on a specific definition, but should base on the overall value and move- ment stage of the＂records＂.Finally,comparing with the definition of ＂wenjian＂,＂dang＇an＂in China, the tenaa ＂records＇should be translated to＂Dang＇an＂.
