摘 要:甲午中日战争后,民族危机加深。在"维新改革"呼声下,湖南传统教育开始了以"救亡"为主题的新式教育实践。谭嗣同、梁启超等在湖南督抚的支持下与地方士绅相继协同创办了浏阳算学馆、时务学堂等新式学堂。地方乡绅虽与维新志士等新派人物一并参与教育改革,但囿于"卫道"观念,思想上的分歧终致湖南教育界出现"新旧之争"。"救亡"教育在维新变法后期不可避免地走向了停滞。After the War of Jiawu, national crisis deepened. Pushed by the "Reform Movement", Hunan traditional education began to pursue the new education practice with the theme of "National Salvation". Tan Sitong and Liang Qichao founded the Liu Yang Arithmetic School, Hunan Natioual Matter School and the other new schools with the support of the Hunan governors and local gentry. Although the local gentry participated in the education reform with the reformers, they were confined by the "morality" concept. The ideological difference led to the "dispute between new and old" in the educational circle. "National Salvation" Education inevitably led to the stagnation period.
