摘　　要：1215年自由大宪章诞辰800年,学界对其的热情不减。最初的宪章文本用拉丁语书写,但当时的英国并不是单语国家。除了符合当时欧洲拉丁语普遍化的语言环境外,使用拉丁语是否影响大宪章实施呢?本文从宪章的历史语境展开,分析拉丁语所暗示的信息,进而认为,于自由大宪章效力而言,关键的并非语言使用,而是当时的社会情境。1215 Magna Carta(Latin for 'the Great Charter of the Liberties') has been the subject of intense scholarly debate,and this year is its 800 th anniversary.The original version of this document was written in Latin,however,in the 13 th century,England was not a monolingual country.Latin is popular in Europe at that time,so it is play a role in legal document.This research explores the indication of the Latin by analyzing the language usage,and suggests the social context play an important role in the effect of Magna Carta.
